Diving Fiji

We had an amazing trip to Fiji. We spent a week diving the Rainbow Reef from Taveuni Island in the North East, followed by a week of relaxing in Pacific Harbour, where we took a day out to do Aqua Trek’s epic shark dive.

Great Barrier Reef, Australia

As 2011 comes to a close, so does our time in Australia. Although we didn’t get in as much diving as we’d hoped we’ve had a great time down under, and 2011 has been a great year in general. I’m looking forward to ringing in the new year this evening, and excited about the year to come. Here’s to more travels, more diving, and more fun! Happy Bubbles!

Merry Fishmas! Are you a diver or know someone who is? Why not send one of these scuba inspired holiday cards to that special someone on your list this year? Simply click the buy card button underneath the card and choose either a folded card or a flat card. You can then add your own personal message inside, or leave it blank and hand-write something later.

Note: the watermarked logo only appears on the web version, not your printed cards. And if you order 3 or more cards we’ll wave the processing fee!

New Digital Paintings available

I finished two new digital paintings, based on images from our trip to the Red Sea last month. First up is the Crown Jellyfish. We saw literally hundreds of these during several dives near Marsa Alam. It was a little daunting jumping into the water with so many of these swimming around, but luckily they don’t sting, and their purple color was just so beautiful when caught in the right light, I couldn’t resist several swims with these guys.

The second painting is of a Red Sea Anemone fish. Those of you who’ve dove with me before, know I can’t resist an anemone fish. Their little faces are so full of personality, every shot is different. I could spend an entire dive taking pictures of just anemone fish, and love every minute of it.

Both of these digital paintings are available for sale in the Galleries section.

Liveaboard diving in the Red Sea, Egypt

We’re back from a great week of diving in the Red Sea aboard the M/Y Blue Pearl. Our trip took us south from Marsa Alam to the reefs of St. Johns before heading back north to the famous Elphinstone, where we were lucky enough to spot a few Hammerheads. We had a really good group on the boat, and the week just flew by. Here are some of the highlights from below the surface.
